Dear Prof.Jeff,

I would like to say something about three articles I have read. Three articles are on the webside: www.asian-efl-Journal.com/2008-spipathum-Noom-ura.phd-22k in the articles 4, 5, 6.

Athough three articles have different contents but they all mention to the things that I am interested in. The article 4 is about oral presentation, the article 5 is about English for Internet and the article 6 is about mentoring English language teachers. I am sure that I am interested in these articles because of three reasons below:

First, before being a teacher of English the trainees have to practise and make a lot of oral presentation. This makes the teachers confident and natural in teaching. Moreover, this the chances for the trainees to practise applying modern technologies in teaching for example: using a powerpoint presentation. I myself need to do it and try to use powerpoint in teaching English at my school.

Second, internet is very necessary for teachers and students in teaching and learning. Everyone knows the benefits of internet but in Vietnam Internet is strange to some teachers and students. There are a lot of remote areas in Vietnam where there is not internet. I myself don’t use internet very often because of this reason. In this course I really want to learn a lot about teaching and learning English for internet and using internet perfectly for teaching English at my school in the future.

Finally, mentoring English language teachers as us is very important for us. As I write above we have a few chances to use the internet so I find it is difficult to learn this course. All things seem to be new and strange to us. We all need you help us a lot and we always need a technican to guide us derectly at the lab. In Vietnam the speed and service for internet is not good, sometimes we can’t be online and sometimes there is no signal…they are all reasons why sometimes we can’t contact to you. On the other side, the computers and equipments for using internet are not good.

In conclusion, three reasons above make me more interested in three articles. They are all things I always need for my learning and teaching English now and then. I always worry about my lesson in this course because 2 days learning I try to do all the tasks but sometimes it is difficult to achieve.I know I have to try my best to apply all the tasks but I need a lot of help from you, please help me more.

Thank you very much and best wishes to you and your family.

Yours truly,

Son (Ngo Quoc Son)
